No Infest for me!

Due to an ever increasing amount of reasons beyond my control I've decided not to go to Infest this year after all : /

So, is anyone out there interested in my ticket and/or room in the Arkwright Halls of Residence? Go on, go on, you really really want to!

.... rocks!!! Bought myself:

6 ft. white fibreoptic xmas tree - yeah, I know, bah humbug and all and what the f*** is Christmas for anyways - I know!!! - but it looks sooo pretty :) hehe...

THE DIGITAL CAMERA!!! Finally, was about time. And a nice one it is :) Now to learn how to use it! Hmmm, a bit daunting that, me and manuals don't get on that well :p - Ah, I can see a challenge there, all good :) Can't wait for the photos I'm gonna take!

Oh, and Inferno last nite, TIME WARP or what? Ballroom on a Friday nite, yeah :) - on guest list, yeah :) - met people I haven't seen for ages, yeah :) - BUT, times change, people change and ultimately one can't live in the past...

Wonder how my tree will look once it's dark, off now to check :) Then Chinese take away and this horror film I've meant to watch for ages, it better be good, SCARE ME!!!

Off to Sweden tomorrow, YEAH! About time I travelled somewhere for fun after all the trips back and from Germany in the last months for more sad reasons :(

A group of youths smashed window panes at The Devonshire Arms pub in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Staff above the pub were awoken at 4am to the sound of breaking glass but the offenders escaped leaving a trail of destruction behind them. A police spokesman said: "Officers discovered 20 panes and two frames had been smashed by unknown suspects."

What a miserable day out there. Bugger all to do at the office. Why do they pay me for doing nothing?! Actually they should pay me more, it's bloody difficult looking busy all day with an empty in-tray :p So I'm gonna cheer myself up with going out tonight. I've come across a gig at the Underworld by Mick Harvey, co-founder with Nick Cave of both the Bad Seeds and Birthday Party, sounds kinda interesting, but £15 seems a bit steep if I don't know what his solo stuff sounds like. Does anyone know if thats gonna be money well spend or should I go down the pub instead?

OK, I'm fine. Work locally and walk there... Realised something was wrong when work people called to say all the tubes are down. So glad that all my loved ones are safe, and my thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by this. Off to Germany tomorrow at the crack of dawn (travel will be one hell of a mission)to say goodbye to my dying mum, well, maybe she's better off not being in a place like this anymore....

Don't ask. But I just discovered I had a contact lense in my eye for the last FUCKING 10 DAYS!!!! How insane is that. Thought my eye was a wee bit dry the other morning, but apart from that, had no idea.... Was a daily disposable, not one of those constant wear thingies. This is BAAAD. My eye hurts now that it is out and it will probable whither and die....... Order the eyepatch, arrrrh matey and a parrot and a bottle of rum. Wonder if I qualify for the Guiness Book of Records, yikes!!!!

Any other contact lense wearers out there having had similar experiences?

Happy to be back home after a white but emotionally demanding family Xmas :)

Felt like escaping the constant noise of the wind around the blocks were I live today, was kinda hard to get some decent sleep with the hounds of doom howling for the last 2 nights - cool in a horror movie way but PLEAZZZE!!!! At least it seems to have calmed down now, oh bliss :) Might I get a good nite's kip at last?

Horrified though as to how much Public Transport fares have gone up, the sneaky bastards! WHAT? £1,20 for a single bus ride and it gets worse from there... haven't even looked into the tube fares yet. YIKES! A Joke? I fear not....
